Happy Birthday to Me once again!

My appetite for Italy

I miei amici, I miei amori,

È il mio compleanno oggi!  Viva l'Italia! Viva Positano!

Ah, excuse me. Not being in Italy this year, I have to speak a little Italian and imagine myself in Positano so as not to get too depressed... Unfortunately, even though I speak the language of love and look at photos from my past, not being in my beautiful adopted country is depressing. Aging in Italy is much easier than getting old here... Go figure... Fortunately, family and good friends cheered me up. We had a good laugh, ate well and drank well...

Delicious Italian meal at Hostaria with Mamie and Dieter.

The Bélanger/St-Germain came for a visit.

Josée and I did crazy things, as usual...

Another year passed too quickly, but another exceptional year to come.

Thank you my friends and loves ones!

Diane

Almost Done!

NOUVELLE OPTION: Version française

My friends, my loved ones,

I only have two weeks left to complete my certificate in Translation. I no longer count the hours, but the minutes. In addition, I once again have a terrible desire to go to Italy. Since I'm very busy this year, no Italy... Next year? Maybe not since I was asked to replace a teacher next fall, and this for the entire school year! I will have to change my dates and leave in August. It's not ideal, because it's not my birthday and the heat is suffocating. However, a year without going to Italy is also suffocating. It's a small compromise: to be swimming, but to be happy!

To alleviate my pain, I send you a new Italian recipe:

Pâtes alla Norma served in a parmesan bowl

Wish me luck for my final exam and to not go crazy without Italy!

Kisses and see you soon,

Diane
